Laura CamargoShe joined the Project Biblia Medieval in 2008. She has been working with synchronic corpora of Spanish for years, and is currently coordinating the corpus PRESEEA-Palma as part of the Proyecto para el Estudio Sociolingüístico del Español de España y de América (Project for the Sociolinguistic Study of Peninsular and Latin American Spanish). Her work in Biblia Medieval focuses on the study of discourse markers and other pragmatic and discursive aspects of the language (mainly, pragmatic operators, deictics and quotatives markers).

Ph.D. in Linguistics from Universidad de Alcalá university in 2004, she is currently lecturing at the University of the Balearic Islands since year 2005, where she develops her teaching and research work in the field of Pragmatics and Sociolinguistics of Spanish.
